OOOOOOO

Syron Engineering and Manufacturing supplies automotive pressroom tooling including tri-axis tooling, end of arm tooling, hydroform tooling, and many other components to the automotive industry. The breadth of Syron's feature set and the superiority over traditional products was not conveyed on its website. Syron came to Vibation with the need to radically improve their web presence and asked:

  • How can Vibation deliver a top quality technology solution that meets our high expectations?
  • Do we truly communicate our value online?
  • How can we convey a more quality product to our prospects due to our higher price point?
  • How can we create a more satisfying user experience on our Web site?
  • How can we improve and streamline our quoting process?

Build a Brand of Quality

With all the existing materials having been designed internally by engineers, Vibation needed to build a visual brand identity from just a logo. Since the goal was to elevate Syron's brand to match its high quality products and service, we established a design that engineers could relate to while conveying the superiority that Syron delivers in all their product and expertise offerings.

Making A Confusing Set of Products Clear

Our information process broke down Syron's product catalog into an information flow easy for customers to follow. Instead of delivering users just one way to get to products we offered two. This first method allows the user to browse through the product by application, or how it will be used. The second method allows the user to browse by component type. A robust search allowed those familiar with the products to quickly access a product with a search.

Guiding Customers with Sample Designs

While the new information structure made the products easy to find, the customers needed additional help in envisioning how the pieces could come together. Our solution was to present a series of design guides that allowed the user to see total working designs. To make the design guide even more functional we listed all of the pieces that were compatible with the current design, so the customer could customize to their specific needs.

Faster Quote Turnaround Times

Automotive purchasing managers need to promptly request quotes for their press design. Previously, customers would have to call or fax a quote request to Syron making turnaround slow. To improve on this, the new site was engineered with a robust quoting system. Users are able to add the items they want to their cart and send off the list to Syron to quickly quote. Customers no longer have to call or fax a quote request.

Empowering Customers with CAD files

When Syron contacted Vibation, engineers would request technical documents and 2d/3d drawings to help with their schematics via phone or email. Often they were in a hurry, on a deadline or in a jam. With 10,000+ products with variations, infinite application possibilities, vast technical data, and numerous 2D and 3D drawings and more it was a challenge to deliver the materials as quickly as the clients wanted. With engineers needing the CAD files to layout their vision before purchasing, Syron needed an efficient method to deliver to their customers.

Vibation created a system for Syron to post CAD files in a variety of industry standard formats quickly and easily. This process made the files easy for customers to find and use, and easy for Syron to keep up to date.

THE RESULT - Excellency and Efficiency all in a Website

With the new website, Syron achieved the following results:

  • The new quoting system significantly shortened the time Syron was able to respond to quotes
  • Users have more detailed information on products at their fingertips
  • Syron's sales staff is able to quickly design systems for users, so they can deliver more polished proposals to customers.
  • Brand that conveys the high-quality of product and high-caliber experts
  • Visual image that the audience can relate to and feel understands their needs
